I Really Should be Working Outside, But.....

Working out in the yard can wait another while. I felt like making art today.  So indulge me a bit and look at my April entry to the Mission Inspiration page that I belong to on Facebook.
I was to use three colors, pastel yellow, pink, and a pastel green. If you look closely, the pastel green is behind the spring and summer trees. The trees were cut on my Cricut, the color on the trees is acrylic paint. I put the snow on the winter tree limbs with a while gel pen. The instructions given called for splatters or drops, but I didn't use those. Otherwise, I followed the prompt to the letter, even if some of it was subtle.

I wanted to show you my latest greeting cards that I haven't sent out in the post. Some I sent before I photoed them. Sorry!



Now maybe I should go work in the yard.  Well, maybe not, it's Sunday and that is the day of rest, isn't it?

Just this week I read a post on the infamous Facebook that, to sum it up, blamed all the crisis going on in our country, namely the racial uprising, on taking God out of the schools. Is This a Test of Things to Come?

 Recently I was invited to participate in a holiday activity that made me question my Christian beliefs as well as my rights as an American. I found the activity to be something I would not want to participate in and to be very frank, was highly illegal constitutionally. I questioned where this inappropriate activity originated, and found it started in the city's Mayor's office. Not to surprising as he is a Democrat and following the Jackass agenda that has been forced upon us during the year of the pandemic. I remember studying the novel, A Nation of Sheep while in college and am finding that it is even more true today than it was then. Americans, if you read closely the printed word and watch any TV at all are becoming more sheeplike every day. I am seriously afraid that we will eventually be "led to the slaughter."  I do not believe for a minute that Biden and his ilk fairly won the presidential election. Retro Anyone??

My Mission Inspiration group for February was given three colors: Turquoise, lime, and gray. We also were to incorporate triangles into our design, plus a quote. I chose "stylized" triangles and when I began working on the project, I was reminded of our Formica counter tops in the kitchen of the "lake house" that my folks built in 1956. How retro can one get! I wonder how I remember this stuff from 60+ years ago, but I do. So here's my take on our Mission for February, plus a reminder that we never really have to grow up (inside our minds, at least) we just need to learn how to behave in public. LOL!
